Global Fundraiser in May 2021
TiE SG led the largest global celebrity fundraiser to support Covid relief efforts in May 2021 with India's leading celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan among others. Collectively, our purpose driven global community raised SGD 3.6M
I Breathe for India
As part of our #MissionIndia initiative to help India accelerate its fight against COVID19, we launched #IBreatheForIndia, a live, virtual fundraiser event that brought together icons from the worlds of Bollywood, Cricket, Media & Spirituality.
We collaborated with renowned personalities, Lara Dutta & Shayamal Vallabhjee to produce this fundraiser, in partnership with IITAA Singapore, Tagglabs, Encompass & thanks to our kind sponsors, Deutsche Bank. The event was streamed live on May 9th, 2021 at 8:30pm SGT across various channels.
We started the fundraiser with the aim of raising $1 Million but thanks to the generous sponsorship from Deutsche Bank; numerous other corporates, startups & VCs from around the world; generous contributions from our seed donor in Silicon Valley as well as from spirited, individual donors, we were able to raise $2 Million in a record period of one week.
The consolidated contributions were channelized through our partner GiveIndia and was utilised to procure various kinds of medical equipment & supplies and deployed across India. A big thanks to our partners in this programme- Giving.sg, The Red Cross Society, Singapore and Milaap.com
Every rupee we raised was doubled by our generous & supportive donor partners!
Mission India
Mission India, initiated by TiE in collaboration with IIT Alumni association Singapore, was a $1M fundraiser that took place over 14 days. . This campaign was aimed to help India ramp up & accelerate its fight against COVID-19!
ALL proceeds were funnelled through our credible partners, giving.sg and Milaap, to procure & deliver oxygen concentrators, ventilators, cylinders & other critical medical supplies to hospitals across India.
